For Americans traveling to Australia and New Zealand, Qantas offers around 40 flights per week from the United States to Australia and New Zealand, with more on the way due to strong demand. Through its Passenger Perks and Explorer fares, Qantas passengers can unlock savings for experiences and regional flights Down Under. The flag carrier and largest domestic and international airline in Australia gears up for a busy 2024 with some new routes and perks.

United Continues Its Global Expansion

United Airlines keeps soaring to new heights, recently announcing another expansion of its leading global route network. The airline added new non-stop flights between Newark (EWR) and Marrakesh (RAK), Morocco; Tokyo (NRT) and Cebu (CEB), Philippines; and Houston (IAH) and Medellin (MDE), Colombia. That’s not all: United also plans to increase flights to popular worldwide destinations including Hong Kong (HKG); Seoul (INC), South Korea; and Porto (OPO), Portugal. Following the recent agreement to increase flights between the U.S. and Chinese governments, the airline now adds four weekly flights from Los Angeles (LAX) to Shanghai (PVG).

JetBlue Now Offers More Ways to Fly to the Caribbean

United Airlines Rolls Out Bluetooth Capabilities on More Planes

As part of the airline’s United Next initiative to modernize aircraft, Bluetooth connectivity is now available on more than 100 United planes. The airline hopes to increase that number to more than 800 planes by 2032.

A new airline brands itself as the first “premium leisure airline” in the world. Beond Airline launched this month with its first aircraft, an Airbus A319, outfitted to accommodate just more than 40 passengers, all in lie-flat, first-class-worthy seats. To start, the airline, based in the Maldives, offers flights between the Maldives and destinations throughout Europe, the Middle East and Asia Pacific.
