There’s lots of fun to be had in Denver this season, with landmark events and festivals filling up the Mile High City’s calendar. The start of the summer, May and June, are packed with can’t-miss occasions.
Fan Expo Denver welcomes cosplayers and fans for three days of fun, May 28–31. Tickets start at just $30 and special guests slated to appear include Orlando Bloom, David Tennant, Elijah Wood, Karl Urban, Matthew Lillard, David Duchovny and many, many more from a vast variety of popular fandoms.
Presented by Capital One and REI Co-op, Outside Days takes place in downtown, May 29–31. In addition to the music lineup, with headliners like Death Cab for Cutie, My Morning Jacket and Cage the Elephant, the event also includes presentations from yet-to-be-announced speakers (past speakers have ranged from David Blaine to Shaun White) and film screenings.
Then, in June, make sure you catch the Juneteenth Music Festival (June 20), one of the largest such celebrations in the country and in its 15th year, with, beyond music, family fun, vendors, a parade and more. Then, Denver PrideFest takes to downtown June 28 — but you can find related events occurring all month long.
