Taiwan-based carrier China Airlines will soon kick off a new trend in onboard catering with its first transnational beverage collaboration, serving Thai Tea from popular brand ChaTraMue to passengers in all cabin classes on flights from Bangkok to Taipei and Kaohsiung. At the same time, Taiwanese hand-shaken beverages will be introduced, including Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea and Passion Fruit Sparkling Boba by Sharetea on all inbound and outbound Taipei flights in business class on United States, Canada, Europe and Australia routes, and in premium economy on all U.S., Canada and Europe routes.
Sharetea, established in 1992, was one of the early founders of the original hand-shaken beverage culture in Taiwan and is now world famous with 500 stores worldwide. Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea, made with fresh, locally sourced milk, combines black tea fragrance, rich milky flavor and bouncy brown sugar tapioca pearls. Passion Fruit Sparkling Boba has a fizzy, sweet and sour flavor.
In another industry first, China Airlines formed a collaboration with ChaTraMue, the No. 1 Thai tea brand — ChaTraMue’s first entry into the airline world. The brand’s signature Thai Tea is renowned for its rich fragrance and smoothness.
China Airlines onboard catering continues to expand and refine its cross-industry overseas partnerships. The carrier has previously collaborated with well-known brands and restaurants including Keng En Kee Seafood in Singapore, Yabaton in Nagoya, Hsu’s Ginseng in America, and SUNMAI and BLAH BLAH Bar.
