Located in Mirabel, Quebec, a brief drive from Montreal, Bois de Belle-Rivière is a regional park full of beautiful forests and family-friendly activities. The park hosts about 120,000 visitors annually. It’s open year-round, with hours of operation varying by season.
Different activities are available at Bois de Belle-Rivière depending on the season. In the warmer months, explore the designated hiking trails, sprawling gardens, fishing lakes and horseback riding trails. In the winter, the park accommodates snow-based activities. Guests can ice skate on a 1.5-mile skating trail and ice-skating rink. The trails are illuminated in the evenings to allow for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. Adult admission costs $6. Yearly passes are also available. If you prefer to extend your visit, book a stay at one of the on-site cabins.
Bois de Belle-Rivière is home to two different sugar shacks producing pure maple syrup. One sugar shack features the modern production equipment, while the other demonstrates the traditional process.
In addition to the many activities, Bois de Belle-Rivière hosts several events, educational activities and festivals annually, including a recent food festival highlighting dishes made with maple syrup.
