Finland’s national carrier, Finnair recently announced an expanded network for U.S. travelers heading to Europe via the airline’s Helsinki (HEL) hub in 2026.

The airline will add 12 new destinations to its summer 2026 schedule, including Kuressaare, Estonia; Luxembourg; Stavanger, Norway; Thessaloniki, Greece; Tirana, Albania; Turin, Italy; and Umeå, Sweden.

“We are excited to tap into growth opportunities in the market, further strengthening our broad network of direct connections from our Helsinki hub,” said Javier Roig Sanchez, general manager for North America, Finnair. “The new European destinations also connect new markets to our long-haul network, providing improved connectivity to popular destinations for US travelers such as Greece, and to our expanding network of Nordic countries.”

In winter 2026, Finnair adds further services to Lapland from three European cities, giving U.S. tourists visiting Brussels, Paris or Zürich direct connections to Finland’s northernmost region. Finnair also offers daily year-round services to Lapland via Helsinki.

With these additions, Finnair’s network for 2026 includes 93 European; 11 Asian; seven North American (including Toronto, opening in summer 2026); and two Middle Eastern destinations.

Of the new destinations, Stavanger joins Finnair’s Norway offering with flights operated via Arlanda, while Umeå strengthens the airline’s presence in Sweden. Luxembourg adds to Finnair’s extensive network of European capitals. Thessaloniki, Greece’s second-largest city, is the latest addition to Finnair’s Mediterranean network. Turin in Northern Italy offers travelers cultural attractions and access to mountains. Tirana in Albania, a rapidly developing city destination, marks a new country for Finnair. Kuressaare adds to Finnair’s Baltic offering.
