Thanks to reservation sites like Airbnb and Booking.com, travelers have the option to stay in almost any type of accommodation imaginable, from tree houses to luxury apartments and from beach cottages to backwoods tents. A company called GoCampr adds to this trend by offering hundreds of private or community campsites that host travelers in more than 37 countries around the globe.
GoCampr’s website allows for direct owner-camper booking capabilities as both owners and campers can create accounts and either advertise their campsite or search for places to stay. Campers can search for places to stay by location, climate or environment, such as garden or beach camping.
Each listing has a description of the property, multiple color photos and a list of what campers will be able to access, such as running water, bathrooms, meals, electricity capabilities and/or whether campfires are allowed. Properties are also divided into categories that make it easy for browsers to get an idea of what kind of environment they might enjoy (e.g., adventure camping, glamping or rural camping). In addition to offering alternative camping experiences with locals around the globe, GoCampr also features GoCampr Adventures that lets guests books an entire holiday experience including guided tours by locals, cooking classes or visiting secret villages or islands.
