When to Visit National Parks for Free in 2017
As exotic and romantic as foreign travel can seem, some of the best sights can be seen in your own backyard and for a much cheaper price tag. This year, select U.S. national parks will open their gates for free, leaving no excuse for nature lovers to keep to their couches and forego a day exploring America’s beauty. In 2016, the U.S. National Park Service celebrated its centennial by offering 16 free days for visitors, and based on the success of this special, 124 of the 413 total parks will be free to visit for 10 days in 2017.
