Where you start your island hopping depends on your origin destination. From Split, experience Šolta, Hvar, Brač, Korčula and Vis. Dubrovnik is the perfect jumping-off point for Kolocep, Lopud, Otok Šipan, Mljet, Korčula, Hvar and the Lastovo Archipelago Nature Park. The northern city of Rijeka provides access to a group of islands in the Kvarner Gulf, and the Dalmatian port of Zadar offers access to its own group of lovely islands.
There are several ways to access the islands off Croatia’s coast. Car ferries run by public transportation company Jadrolinija serve the main islands, and passenger-only catamarans operated by Jadrolinija and Krilo Jet offer faster options to smaller islands.
