Norwegian cruise line Hurtigruten has sailed to exciting destinations like Antarctica, Greenland, Iceland and the Northwest Passage since its founding in 1893. To explore some local gems, the cruise line announced a series of exciting itineraries called Treasures of the East Coast, with voyages to Portland, Maine; Acadia National Park; New York City; and Halifax.

Sail nearly 1,400 nautical miles along the east coast of North America on the Coastal Gems of America-Northbound cruise, featuring stops in Miami, Charleston, New York City, Boston and Maine over the course of 13 days.

Discover many of the same U.S. Northeast cities, plus Newport, R.I., and Newfoundland on the 16-day Navigating the Northeast and Atlantic Canada cruise.

For a more in-depth Canada experience, partake in a nine-day journey discovering Newfoundland and Nova Scotia on the Exploring from the Canadian Maritimes to the Big Apple cruise; or the Gulf of St. Lawrence and Bays of Eastern Canada cruise, which visits Mingan Archipelago National Park, Gros Morne National Park, Bonne Bay and the Prince Edward and Bonaventure Islands.

The 2018 itineraries are available to book based on availability.

In the 2019/2020 season, Hurtigruten will continue strengthening its position as world-leading exploration cruise line with new sailings in Antarctica and Svalbard aboard the cruise line’s new hybrid ships, MS Roald Amundsen and MS Fridtjof Nansen.
