You no longer need to jump between travel booking sites and ChatGPT to plan and book your perfect trip. Kayak has integrated ChatGPT right into its search experience for an AI-powered engine the company hopes will make the travel booking experience easier and more personal.
Steve Hafner, CEO, Kayak, said, “Travelers aren’t limited to preset entry fields anymore. Just tell us what you’re looking for in plain language, and we’ll answer the same way.”
Using the new AI feature is simple. The “AI mode” search function is accessible via the Kayak menu bar. From there, you can type queries and prompts into the search box just like you would when using ChatGPT. After submitting a query, Kayak and ChatGPT provide you with answers to your questions and tailored recommendations, alongside real-time deals.
Not sure where to start when getting the most out of this new feature?
Kayak recommends searching for hotels within a certain distance of a particular landmark, available on a certain day; the cheapest travel deals for a trip of a particular length, to a particular region of the world; or rental cars available at a specific airport that can fit a specific number of people and types of luggage.
