KAYAK just launched a new tool to give travelers a weekly snapshot of how flight prices are moving across domestic and international cities. The new Airfare Trends Dashboard is updated every Tuesday with fresh KAYAK search data, and includes year-over-year context and destination-level breakdowns.
The tool displays weekly airfare trends, offering a comprehensive view of how average flight prices domestically and internationally are changing week to week; year-over-year-context, using comparisons from 2025 to help contextualize current pricing levels and how they compare to the same time last year; and destination-level data, showing a city-level view at how airfare varies across some of KAYAK’s popular domestic and international destinations, and how each evolves over time.

What has KAYAK shown so far?
Domestic Fares Rising
Domestic fares increased from $290 in early January 2026 to $349 as of early April.
International Price Patterns
KAYAK also uncovered international prices mimic last year’s patterns.

Most Affordable Destinations
Warm-weather getaways are becoming more affordable, with prices trending down in recent weeks across popular destinations like Miami; San Juan, Puerto Rico; San José, Costa Rica; and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.
KAYAK also updated its Trip Calculator to provide road trippers with updated information. The Trip Calculator uses the latest gas prices and airfare to compare the cost of flying versus driving based on the route, timing and number of travelers.
