Bachelor/ette Parties

A bachelorette doesn’t have to be all embarrassing scavenger hunts. Some of our favorite bachelorettes to plan have incorporated outdoor activities into the weekend. Here are seven of the best to consider incorporating into a bachelorette:

  • Surf camp in Laguna Beach: There’s nothing better than a day out on the waves, and surf camp is a fun bonding experience for the whole bridal party. Make sure to find a good spot for an evening beach bonfire (with s’mores, obviously).

  • Stand-up paddleboarding in Charleston: After eating all the delicious things in Charleston, from biscuits to a lowcountry boil to shrimp and grits, you can work off the calories with a stand-up paddleboarding tour around the Charleston Harbor.

  • Kayaking in Annapolis: The Chesapeake Bay is a beautiful body of water — explore it and the surrounding areas by traveling by kayak through the bay. If you can, find a house by the water that lets you dock nearby and get a blue crab lunch or dinner delivered for the full Maryland experience.

  • Snowshoeing near Denver: For a winter adventure everyone can enjoy, go on a day or half-day long snowshoeing adventure, wrapping up the afternoon with fondue and a local craft beer at one of Denver’s breweries.

  • Biking tour in Sonoma or Napa: If you like your outdoor time mixed with wine and leisurely stops along the way, schedule a winery tasting biking tour. You can customize these tours for any biking skill level, and the biking time allows you to fully enjoy the beautiful Northern California scenery as you travel between wineries.

  • Tubing near Austin: Want to be outside, but you know, not actually really doing anything? Then tubing down the San Marcos, Comal or Guadalupe Rivers is the activity for you. You can even rent a tube for a cooler for your drinks to float along with you.
