Reviews / Hotel

Portland, Ore,’s, charming downtown is a great place to base your activities for a visit to the city and the region. A stay at the RiverPlace Hotel, near the downtown core, puts you in close proximity to everything you’ll likely want to access on your trip while also removing you a bit from the hustle and bustle.

The hotel sits along the Willamette River, set amid trees, gardens and wide lawns. If it weren’t for the cityscape and bridge views out of the windows, you’d hardly know you were in the middle of a city.

Run by Kimpton, RiverPlace prides itself on friendly service and stylish finishes. Rooms are decked out with posh finishes and fun, vintage patterns, and often come with fantastic views of the marina or the river. It’s a tough space to leave.

Downstairs, there’s also the fantastic Three Degrees bar and grill, which enjoys a waterfront setting. Whether you pop in for a cocktail or a glass of the hotel’s exclusive wine, or settle in for a meal, you won’t be disappointed. There are also in-room dining options available 24 hours a day. Be sure to save time to check out one of the hotel’s bicycles for a cruise along the riverside path, too.
