Rosewood is opening its first urban hotel in Japan. Rosewood Tokyo will be situated within the Roppongi 5-Chome development, conveniently connected to Roppongi Subway station and retail and office space.
The hotel is planned to offer 200 guestrooms and suites (some of which will include three bedrooms) as well as multiple dining and bar concepts. The hotel will also feature Rosewood Manor Club, a spa, indoor pool, fitness center, yoga space and ballroom.
“We are excited to introduce Rosewood Tokyo, a strategic expansion that reinforces our commitment in Japan,” said Sonia Cheng, CEO, Rosewood Hotel Group. “Guided by our ‘A Sense of Place’ philosophy, Rosewood Tokyo will celebrate the city’s cultural depth while delivering distinctive, locally rooted experiences in one of the world’s most influential global capitals.”
Rosewood just opened its very first property in Japan last year: Rosewood Miyakojima. The island-set resort encompasses four restaurants and bars, an infinity pool, spa, 55 accommodation options, and an aesthetic befitting its tropical locale.
Rosewood has expanded quickly all over the globe, with multiple openings in 2025, including Rosewood Courchevel Le Jardin Alphin, the first-ever Rosewood ski resort.
