Trends / Spring Break

Getting away for spring break is hugely popular among students, and Mexico is one of the favored destinations. From heavyweight destinations like Cancun to lesser-known resorts such as Mazatlan, there are lots of places to choose from if you want to spend spring break in Mexico.

Cancun might be the stereotypical choice, but if you don’t want to spend time battling the crowds it might be worth looking somewhere different. Further down the Caribbean coast from Cancun is Playa del Carmen, another good spot for spring break, and you could even try Tulum.

Pacific Coast beach resorts such as Puerto Vallarta and Acapulco are also good choices for spring break, as is the previously sleepy fishing village of Mazatlan. The latter is particularly convenient for those in the southwestern U.S. states, who can take party buses to the resort.

Another easily accessible destination for those in the west is Rosarito Beach. It’s right on the Mexican border in North Baja, so it’s quick and easy to get to. Perfect for those who don’t like planning ahead, and it’s budget friendly.

For those with more cash to burn, Cabo San Lucas is the place to see and be seen. It’s expensive, but it’s known for wild parties and great resorts.

What to Do During a Trip to Morro Bay, California

No, it’s not Monterey Bay. We’re talking Morro Bay, California, located about a 2.5-hour drive to the south, about halfway between San Jose and Los Angeles. A quieter destination, Morro Bay offers plenty for the outdoor adventurer to enjoy.

The Argosaronic Islands Are Calling

The Saronic or Argo Saronic Islands of Greece call travelers to explore its seven small islands and islets brimming with history, natural sites and more. With most easily accessible by boat, the islands’ proximity to ports of Athens make the Saronic Islands an ideal destination for those preferring shorter boat rides. In fact, trips from Athens ports to the islands take only between 10 minutes and two hours, depending on the island you choose, making them perfect for day or weekend trips.
