Ready to join an airline rewards program, but don’t feel an affinity for any particular airline and not sure where to start? A new survey from point.me might be able to assist. The points and travel reward search platform recently conducted a study evaluating nearly 60 different airline rewards programs across eight key categories to determine the best airline rewards program in the world.
The findings? The top three highest-value airline rewards programs include Air France-KLM Flying Blue, American Airlines AAdvantage and Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan.
The study compared and contrasted factors, such as ease of earning miles, redemption rates, partner opportunities, redemption experience, award availability, customer service quality, award holds, and change fees and policies, to determine which rewards programs deserved top spots.
“Getting real value from airline loyalty points is often significantly harder for passengers than it needs to be,” said Adam Morvitz, founder and CEO, point.me. “These rankings draw on our team’s collective travel expertise and deep data-led insight from our reward search engine. This data-driven approach empowers travelers to make strategic decisions about where to invest their loyalty, ensuring they’re not just collecting points, but actually maximizing their travel wealth.”
