Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, goes big in fall for many reasons, from its many sports teams in season to autumn festivals. This vibrant city invites visitors to experience its many exciting events in store for the season.
Sporting Events
As a powerhouse in the world of sports, Oklahoma City has many games and events in store. From Oct. 3 to 5, the Oklahoma Regatta Festival sees rowers, kayakers and even dragon boaters hit the Boathouse District for night races. The festival also features fireworks, food trucks and live music. Fall also means college football is underway, and Oklahoma and Oklahoma State have many Saturday games coming up. Between October and November, NBA excitement returns to Paycom Center as the Oklahoma City Thunder play pre-season and early-season games.

Immersive Cowboy Experience
The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum debuts an all-new experience this November. The Cowboy: An Immersive Journey combines videos, projections, art, sound, music and movies to tell the story of a cowboy in the American West.
Asian Night Market Festival
Over in the city’s Asian District, this festival (Oct. 3–4) is one of the largest and most culturally diverse events in the state. Hosted by the Asian District Cultural Association, this festival includes cultural performances, food vendors, a fashion show, food-eating contest and more.

Pumpkin Festivities
Myriad Gardens hosts Pumpkinville from Oct. 3 to 26, featuring homemade games, a pumpkin mosaic, pumpkin decorating, carousel rides and more. This year’s theme is The Museum of Pumpkinville, celebrating the wonder of museums around the world. Explore more than 50,000 pumpkins, gourds and other fall foliage creatively arranged into exhibits replicating popular museum installations.

Horse Racing at Remington Park
Through Dec. 20, Remington Park hosts various horse-racing events. Special race dates include Dec. 20, when the Springboard Mile takes place.
