Europe

France has offered the world quite a bit when it comes to food, but Paris in particular is famous for its delicious coffee options. Next time you’re in the city, here are the top five coffee shops you should check out.

HolyBelly

You thought the French were immune to the hipster craze sweeping America? HolyBelly is here to prove you wrong. The beanie-clad granola slammers come out in droves to this place, but their coffee is pretty solid.

Le Caféothèque

The Caféothèque is where the coffee craze in Paris truly began and it has been serving up delectable espressos for more than seven years now. Owner and coffee ambassador Gloria Montenegro travels all over the world finding the best coffee and stocks delicious brews from nearly 30 different countries.

Brûlerie de Belleville

If you want your coffee brewed by true experts in the craft, stop by Brûlerie de Belleville for a real treat. They’ve been training for years and have created one of the most popular coffee spots in all of Paris. If nothing else, you should stop by just to see the things they can do with decorative coffee cream.

Cream

If the Brûlerie de Belleville isn’t your cup of tea (or coffee, in this instance) consider their slightly more laid-back little brother Cream. This trendy little café sources its beans from the Brûlerie de Belleville and is run by two experts in the craft. They also have a pretty affordable, and delicious, menu of food.

Fragments

Fragments is the remnants of a place once known as The Black Market and is tucked away in the popular area of Marais. It’s home to Italian-style espresso and is undoubtedly one of the favorite shops in the entire city. Locals and tourists alike flock to Fragments throughout the week.
