Have breakfast at Blue’s Egg. There is often a wait at this popular downtown eatery. Try the stuffed hash browns. Breakfast costs about $10. Go for a stroll on the city’s Riverwalk along the Milwaukee River. Take in the local greenery and public art. For a look back at Milwaukee’s history, visit the Chudnow Museum of Yesteryear. Open Wednesday–Sunday, adult admission costs $5.

Famous for their Bloody Mary’s, stop by Sobelman’s for lunch. Order a burger and try the Masterpiece topped with cocktail shrimp, a beef stick and a cheeseburger slider. Lunch costs $20–25. Book a free, one-hour tour of Miller Brewing Co. The brewery opened in 1855. Learn about Miller’s history and witness the modern brewing process.

Enjoy an authentic German dinner at Mader’s Restaurant. The oldest restaurant in Milwaukee, Mader’s décor is as much of a draw as the hearty dishes. Gaze upon medieval suits of armor, beer steins, stained glass and Hummel figurines as you enjoy traditional Bavarian delicacies for about $40–45.

End your night on a sweet note at Leon’s Frozen Custard. The Milwaukee institution serves up frozen custard, sundaes, malts and shakes. Spend about $5.
