Military buffs will greatly enjoy exploring the history of the Vietnam War with a helicopter tour of some of its biggest battlefields.
Vietnam Helicopter Operations’ Saigon to the DMZ will take you on a trip through time to one of the world’s most harrowing battles. You’ll start out in Saigon where you’ll spend three days touring popular spots including the Army Museum, the Presidential Palace and the Notre Dame Cathedral.
On day four, you’ll hop a boat into the Mekong Delta and wind your way through the country’s various canals until you arrive at the scenic Thoison Island. Day five will take you to the Cu Chi Tunnel system and the Cau Dai Temple.
Next on the itinerary is a flight up Highway 19 to learn about the French defeat known as the Death of GM 100. You’ll also visit the site of the 4th Inf Div CP at Camp Enari & Holloway.
That’s only the first half of the trip. All in all, you’ll spend 14 days exploring Vietnam and some of the most famous battlefields. You’ll traverse Marble Mountain, Perfume River and the Thien Mu Pagoda, among other places. Lang Vei and Camp Evans are two popular spots along the way.
The trip price totals $3,995 per person.
