Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines’ rewards programs — Mileage Plan and HawaiiwanMiles, respectively — have converged into a singular rewards program dubbed Atmos Rewards.
Atmos Rewards is a flexible rewards program seeking to combine the best of both airlines’ prior programs under one umbrella. Members can actually choose how they earn points: by distance traveled, price paid for airfare or segments flown.
So, you could get one point for every mile flown if you’re frequently on long-haul routes; five points for every dollar spent on airfare if you’re typically spending quite a lot on your travel, even if you’re not traveling often or long distances; or 500 points for each flight segment flown, if you take a lot of short flights but try to spend less on airfare.
Then, once you earn just 4,500 points, you can begin redeeming points for travel.
Additionally, you can earn points other ways as well, such as two points for every dollar spent on standard Lyft rides, and three points for every dollar spent on airport Lyft rides. A new credit card for members, the Atmos Rewards Summit Visa Infinite card, allows cardholders to earn one status point for every $2 spent.
