Have you heard of the new trend of analog travel? Analog travel puts an emphasis on intentional, low-tech experiences focused on slowing down, seeking memorable and meaningful moments, and using tools like film cameras and paper maps instead of prioritizing content for social media.

According to a recent Talker Research survey, 63 percent of Gen Z travelers report they are intentionally unplugging during vacation, seeking meaningful experiences and deeper connections while traveling.
With analog travel, there is one destination in particular that comes to mind: Lake Powell. The destination is showing off landscapes that haven’t been visible for more than 50 years, way before smartphones and social media were even a thing. The destination offers travelers an opportunity to explore the hidden corners of Glen Canyon without their devices.

One of the best ways to experience analog travel in Lake Powell is by booking a houseboat. Make a houseboat your floating homebase to best explore Lake Powell’s miles of open water, secluded coves and rocky scenery. Spend days exploring canyon passages and quiet beaches, waterskiing, fishing, kayaking, boating, jet skiing, swimming, hiking, and more. In the evenings, watch the sun set from the boat deck, enjoy meals under the stars, play cards, unwind and stargaze.
