Take a horse-drawn carriage ride from Plaza de los Coches, a historic square in the heart of the city. The square is also home to a statue of Pedro de Heredia, the city’s founder; confectionary stands selling sweets; and old houses with balconies and colonial arches. Built in the 16th and 17th centuries, Cathedral of Cartagena de Indias is one of the oldest bishoprics in the Americas.
