The mobile app known as WhatsApp has taken over the world as the easiest to use and cheapest way to keep in touch with your international friends and family. However, access to an Internet connection or WiFi hotspot to use the free messaging service is essential and can be difficult to obtain, especially while traveling through remote areas where data roams and WiFi is nonexistent.
As a response, application developers created WhatSim, a tiny SIM card that can be inserted into your mobile phone. This $10 SIM card allows you to send and receive WhatsApp messages anywhere in the world, and the best part is that an Internet connection is not necessary. The SIM card uses its own data to transmit messages within your phone.
Instead of traipsing through airport terminals, desperately seeking a WiFi connection or hotspot, pop your WhatSim card into your mobile device and send a message to your brother to let him know your flight will be late. The WhatSim card can only be used to use WhatsApp on your mobile phone, and it does not allow you to use any other Internet functions. But for those emergency situations when notifying your loved ones is crucial, WhatSim fulfills your messaging needs.
