One of the most exciting music festivals of the year can’t be found in the United States. In fact, you’ll have to travel all the way to Serbia to partake.

Last year, the EXIT festival, held at the Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad, was voted the Best Major European Festival by more than 620,000 across 34 countries. It boasts major headliners including David Guetta, Guns N’ Roses, Avicii and even old school bands like Duran Duran. You’ll also find a ton of international music stars performing as well. There are musical styles to fit everyone.
EXIT was developed as a movement meant to promote peace and democracy and is still considered one of the biggest celebrations of peace in the world today. The festival takes place each summer in July and tends to sell out quickly. Ticket packages range from $130 to $180, depending on how many days and performances you want to see.

EXIT is sort of two festivals in one as its sister event, SEA DANCE Festival, blasts off right after EXIT ends. It’s located outside the city of Budva on Jaz Beach and, while not as large as EXIT, is still incredibly popular. It placed just behind EXIT as the favorite European festival of 2014.
Tickets sell fast, so you might have to wait around until 2016 to check this thing out, but it’s definitely worth the wait.
