The Battery Wharf Hotel

Set on the picturesque Boston Harbor in the city’s historic North End, the luxury Battery Wharf Hotel was an ideal urban retreat for my family and I when we visited Boston earlier this summer. The 150-room boutique hotel provided beautiful views of the water and easy access to popular spots on the city’s tourist trail from its location in Boston’s oldest neighborhood.

Though I was really only there to sleep in between city adventures involving brewery tastings and downtown bike rides, I enjoyed my premier guestroom and appreciated its comfortable amenities and view of the Boston Harbor. The down duvets and pillows, luxurious sheets, complimentary water bottles and walk-in shower with rainfall showerhead left me feeling refreshed and ready to take on the day.

In addition to luxury accommodations, a well-stocked fitness center and a waterfront bar and restaurant my mom enjoyed visiting for an afternoon drink and bite, the hotel offers unique excursions I wish we had the time to try. I heard fellow guests rave about the lobster excursion, providing participants with the opportunity to head out on an authentic lobster boat to learn how to bait, drop and haul in lobster traps and enjoy a delicious lobster bake over outdoor fire pits.

With a great location in a quiet but lively neighborhood packed with history, the Battery Wharf Hotel ranks as one of my family’s favorite accommodations in the city.
