Trends / Unique Itineraries & Tours

Get a new perspective on your travel with a helicopter tour. These breathtaking experiences offer stunning views unattainable any other way.

These scenic tours fly over gleaming oceans, treetops, cityscapes and lush jungles. Think of it as an entirely new way to explore. Destinations like Hawai’i are a popular place to take your first tour. These tours cruise at altitudes between 500 and 1,500 feet.

There are many new companies offering these one-of-a-kind experiences on the island, but the Blue Hawaiian tour has been around since 1982. This scenic tour flies over the breathtaking islands and passes over Volcanoes National Park.

They suggest guests wear dark clothing to minimize window glare and prohibit people from wearing hats. But besides these few regulations, the trip is comfortable and awe-inspiring.

Unlike boats or cars, most people do not experience motion sickness in airplanes. Still, if there is any doubt, take an anti-nausea medication like Dramamine beforehand. People with sensitive ears may want to wear earplugs or earmuffs but the noise is not as deafening as most people expect.

The helicopter tours also come with an optional video for purchase that lets you enjoy your trip long after landing. Fly like a bird and tour the islands in style.
