What makes a former funeral home one of the Washington, D.C.’s most laidback yet energetic concert venues/nightclubs? D.C.´s Rock and Roll Hotel rests on the lively strip of H Street Northeast, a road that has rapidly emerged during the past few years and is now a go-to spot for off-the-path eateries, bars and music venues. As one of the first establishments on this new hip thoroughfare, Rock and Roll has built a reputation as a haven of variety, evidenced by the diversity among its three levels.

Live Music

On the bottom level, live music fans can purchase tickets to see musical acts perform from Wednesday to Saturday night.

Deejays

For lovers of not-so-live music, a deejay spins dance hits on the second level where entry is free and the space brings the hotel name to life. Along a narrow corridor that leads to the restrooms, hotel ¨rooms¨ branch off to the sides, each of which offers a different vibe and a respite from the hot dance floor.

Roof Deck

Another area of the hotel open year-round with no cover charge is the refreshing roof deck where guests can mingle and enjoy a full bar as well as a full food menu until 11 p.m.

Brunch and Happy Hour

Two final enticing reasons to visit the Rock and Roll Hotel include their brunch and their nightly happy hour. The rooftop brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. Daily happy hour specials start at the time of opening until 8 p.m,. and feature tall Tecate beers for $3, rail drinks for $4, wings at half price and $1 off everything else on the menu.

Regardless of your reason to visit the Rock and Roll Hotel, there will surely be something for every taste.
