In the wake of the rosé wine craze, Napa Valley’s Sterling Vineyards and Susan G. Komen banded together to host an early summer rosé festival to celebrate the refreshing beverage and raise money and support for breast cancer research.
On June 24, Napa Valley hosted the first-ever RoséFest for lovers of all things wine, both rosé and otherwise. More than 30 Napa Valley wineries showcased their best version of the pink beverage, including Sterling Vineyard’s new sparkling variety.
When drinkers needed to balance out the wine consumption with something substantial, they could visit one of the four food trucks on the scene, like Cousins Maine Lobster or Tacos El Muchaco Alegre, or stop by one of the sponsoring restaurant booths, such as Goose & Gander or Charlie Palmer Steak Napa.
Tickets to RoseFest started at $65 for general admission, which provided all attendees with a souvenir wine glass and tastes from all wineries. Guests also could purchase a VIP ticket for $85, which included the souvenir wine glass, access to a VIP tasting lounge, admission to the lawn and one meal ticket to be used at a food truck.
Proceeds from the event will be donated toward breast cancer research, education and supporting patients.
