Hotels around the world have made memorable appearances in some of the most famous movies in cinema history. Visit one of the hotels below, and be transported to your favorite film.
While Las Vegas has been the setting for many a film, the Bellagio, with its stunning water fountain show, is among the more memorable hotels in the city. Ocean’s Eleven, Ocean’s Thirteen and The Hangover feature scenes there.
Millennium Biltmore Hotel, Los Angeles
Several films and television shows have been filmed at the luxury property. Ghostbusters, The Italian Job and Chinatown are among the most popular.
Along with stars Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson, The Park Hyatt Tokyo is one of the main characters of the film, Lost in Translation.
The famous Manhattan hotel has been portrayed in many films including North by Northwest, The Way We Were and The Great Gatsby. The property had a starring role in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, with the main character spending much of the movie in the hotel.
The property was the inspiration for Stephen King’s novel, The Shining. However, the 1980 Stanley Kubrick movie adaption was not able to film there. You will recognize the hotel as the luxury Colorado hotel in Dumb and Dumber.
