Top 5 / Other

If exploring mountains, glaciers and canyons isn’t enough of a thrill, you can also access the world’s most terrifying glass-bottom bridges. These five are not for the faint of heart.

Grand Canyon Skywalk, Peach Springs, U.S.
Extending 70 feet over the edge of the Grand Canyon, the Skywalk & Eagle point offers an adrenaline-pumping view 4,000 feet down to the Canyon floor. The 10-foot-wide, horseshoe-shaped bridge gives you an up-close view of one of the world’s Seven Natural Wonders.

Glacier Skywalk, Jasper, Canada
Soak up views of Sunwapta Valley along the Columbia Icefield Skywalk to see waterfalls, wildlife, fossils and more. Glass is the only thing that separates visitors from a 9,180-foot drop to not only terrify you but connect you to nature in a more meaningful way.

Tianmen Mountain Skywalk, Zhangjiajie, China
See why they call Tianmen Mountain Skywalk the “Heavenly Gate” mountain. The crystal-clear glass walk offers stunning landscapes at an altitude of more than 4,600 feet. You can see all the way down to the bottom of the cliff and the mountain road below.

Zhangjiajie Bridge
Located in Zhangjiajie, Hunan, the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge was once the longest and tallest glass-bottomed bridge in the world. The middle of the bridge even offers a bungee platform towering 270 meters above the ground.

Brave Men’s Bridge
If you’re afraid of heights, the all-glass suspension bridge, Brave Men’s Bridge, is your worst nightmare. At 984 feet long and 590 feet high, the bridge was once wooden, which may be a more terrifying thought to consider.
