If you’re considering a trip to Santa Fe this summer, you’ll want to plan travel dates around three key events — especially if you’re the type of traveler who always come home with the best souvenirs. Across July and August, Santa Fe will host three can’t-miss markets.

International Folk Art Market
Head to Santa Fe Railyard Park, July 9–12, for the International Folk Art Market. The largest of its type in the entire world, it brings together more than 100 artists from more than 50 countries. The event is ticketed, though admission is free on Sunday.
The Spanish Market
Then, July 25–26, The Spanish Market celebrates its 100th year. Founded in 1926, this free and public event celebrates traditional artwork, with more than 160 local artisans in attendance. More than just an art market, this is a cultural celebration, with a full lineup of entertainment and food.

The Indian Market
Lastly, The Indian Market takes place Aug. 22–23 and is the world’s largest juried Native art show. More than 1,000 Indigenous artists from the United States and Canada welcome 150,000-plus visitors to enjoy the free market situated in historic downtown Santa Fe. Ticketed events also take place throughout the weekend, such as a gala and Native fashion show.
