Charging devices on the road can be easy when you have one device and one complementary charger. But when faced with multiple charging needs and only one or two charging options, a multipurpose charger is a vital travel accessory.
Travel product company Anker sells a 40-watt, five-port USB charger that can power five devices at one time, leaving everyone in your group with a fully charged mobile phone, tablet or other USB-powered device. Keeping all your devices connected to one charger also makes it easier to keep track of your phone, tablet and three other products rather than having each device plugged into individual outlets in random places.
Despite the fact that up to five devices can be charged at one time, the charger delivers fast and powerful charging speeds of up to 2.4 amps per port or 8 amps in total. The charger weighs in at only 8.3 ounces and measures 3.6 inches by 2.3 inches by 1 inch, making it simple to squeeze into your luggage and access at any time.
In addition to the five-port charger, the device comes with a 5-foot power cord and an 18-month warranty for worry-free charging. The Anker charger (new or used) is available for a retail price of $49.99, but it also can be purchased on Amazon.com for as low as $23 to $25.
