Reviews / Restaurant

In an eclectic city like Los Angeles, it can be difficult to find a restaurant that caters to nearly any and every taste and won’t completely break your budget. But, since 1920, one L.A. institution has been doing just that, and has since grown to a handful of locations in the City of Angels.

Barney’s Beanery welcomes patrons inside a neon-lit bar/restaurant where the fanciest item in the space is the decades-old jukebox. Travel to Hollywood of the past as you scan the pages of the newspaper-sized menu. The diner-meets-pool hall features booth seating with pleated, leather-backed seats, and bar seating on large-backed stools facing TVs that play the day’s top sporting events.

The expansive menu offers breakfast all day as well as classic Mexican dishes, sumptuous burgers and a litany of pizza options. Wash down the hearty servings with one of the 45 beers on tap or one of Barney’s handcrafted cocktails.

After a filling meal, challenge fellow diners to a game of pool, foosball, air hockey or shuffleboard. Barney’s also hosts trivia nights on Tuesdays and karaoke on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Barney’s locations are found in West Hollywood, Santa Monica, Pasadena, Burbank, Westwood and Redondo Beach.
