Easily recognizable, gorgeous all year and accessible to any engaged couple with a photographer, Central Park is a great choice for your engagement photos. With 843 acres of beauty to choose from, you’ll want to be sure to get some good shots in these picturesque locations.
Bethesda Fountain and Bethesda Terrace offer historic architecture and art in a setting fit for any special photo. You’ll find couples and wedding parties being photographed here on any given day. Don’t be left out on the fun!
Belvedere Castle can lend your pictures a fairy-tale tone. Open daily, get a few shots in and around the castle, which was constructed in 1919. This can be a particularly busy location in the park, though, so if your heart is set on a great photo from the top, you may want to stop by on a weekday.
The lake can be a beautiful backdrop for your photos, but you may catch even better images once you’re out on the water. Rent two rowboats (one for yourself and your fiancé, and one for your photographer) and explore the 20 acres of lake. Paired with the right wardrobe for both of you, there’s no better spot for the perfect vintage or summer look.
Filled with flowers, woodland fences and benches and quotes from the Bard himself, the Shakespeare Garden is filled with foliage particularly mentioned in the great writer’s plays and poetry. If you’re having a springtime shoot, this is definitely the place to be.
