Proposal season is approaching, and many couples begin planning weddings almost immediately after the engagement. The Knot recently conducted the 2026 Real Weddings Study, finding roughly 40 percent of proposals take place between Thanksgiving and Valentine’s Day, and nearly 60 percent of couples begin wedding planning within a month of getting engaged.
