September is a great time to visit the Italian island of Sardinia, using the city of Cagliari as your jumping-off point. By now the crowds have deserted the island, and you’ll have time to enjoy the peace and quiet of the amazing beaches.
For those with the freedom to travel outside peak season, there are plenty of great deals to be found. Shop around and you can find yourself a smashing holiday for a fraction of the price it would have cost just a month earlier.
