Dubai knows how to put on a jaw-dropping show, and all the stops are pulled out for New Year’s Eve.

Emaar Hospitality, which oversees hotels and restaurants in the city, gives visitors plenty of ways to play over the holiday, with its free Emaar New Year’s Eve at Burj Park in downtown Dubai. With fireworks, vendors and live entertainment, it’s a festive time for all ages. While the event itself is free, you can purchase V.I.P. tickets to access the best views of the Burj Khalifa fireworks, as well as food and drinks throughout the event.

Additional events including special culinary experiences and parties will also take place at Emaar Hospitality properties across the city.

For a different kind of celebration, attend the Dubai Opera’s New Year’s Eve Gala. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the celebration kicks off with dinner service during a big band performance, followed by a concert, fireworks and a DJ set.

To see the fireworks from a new angle, visit Sky Views Observatory and watch the fireworks from above the city. The observatory’s event packages come in at different price points, but all include entertainment, food and beverages.
