There are a lot of battery packs out there, but sadly they are usually restricted to USB devices. While some can get by on just an iPhone, many travelers are required to take their laptop with them on their journeys, only to find themselves somewhere that lacks a wall outlet.
Lifepower offers a solution to nomadic laptop warriors everywhere with their A2 battery pack. This device has ports for both USB cables and your standard electrical plugs, allowing users to simultaneously charge their iPhone and Macbook from a single device. The Lifepower A2 comes with either an AC 120V U.S. plug, or an AC 230V European plug, and there is an international adapter included to cover all other foreign outlets.
The AC outlet can deliver up to 120 watts of power, but cannot be used to power a microwave or grill, though Lifepower says they’re working on a model that can. The A2 also has a safety switch that automatically turns the battery pack off when a device demands too much power.
