Football season is back, and that means one important thing — tailgates. Tailgating is a right of passage in college and many schools are known for rowdy student sections. Does your team make the cut for having the best tailgates around? Check out this list to find out.

Ole Miss Rebels

Ole Miss tailgates are truly over the top. The fall season’s university budget for “The Grove,” the tailgating area, is around a whopping $750,000. And it’s fitting for tailgates that serve food on silver platters and hang chandeliers from metal supports. All this supports the 100,000 fans that pile into the area on football weekends.

Wisconsin Badgers

Since the Wisconsin stadium is located in a city, most of the tailgating happens around the local bars and house parties. This doesn’t make the experience any less fun.

PSU Nittany Lions

Penn State has had its fair share of controversy over its football team, but that doesn’t stop this party school from holding some of the best tailgates around. Football reigns king and “We Are” chants shake the stands.

Florida Gators

This is specifically during the game against the Georgia Bulldogs, the biggest of the season.

USC Gamecocks

The University of South Carolina, in Columbia, is known as one of the biggest party schools. Their tailgates bring a mix of Southern charm and state school rowdiness.
