When it comes time to search for flights, it can be difficult to know where to start: app or website? Google Flights or Kayak? Book now or later? One mobile app successfully aggregates flight information from a handful of these flight search engines and allows users to filter searches based on a number of traveler preferences.
Available as a website and an iOS app, Jetcost is a platform wherein travelers can browse flight, hotel and rental car deals from websites such as eDreams, OneTravel and travelgenio. To start, users can enter their departure and arrival airports, dates of travel and preferred flying class (economy, business or first). From there, Jetcost populates a list, further searchable by price; flight duration and number of stops; takeoff and landing times; and airline.
The advantage of Jetcost is its memory: Each time you use the app, it stores your searches and begins to learn the type of flight you may be searching for. It also slowly remembers your preferred airline, home airport and frequented destinations. Once you find a flight you like, you can add it to a list of favorites, bookmarking it to access later. If you’re faced without a WiFi or data connection, you can access your saved flights offline.
