Adventure

G Adventures has small group trips down to an art, helping you choose exactly the kind of trip you want, without all of the hassle of searching for the perfectly tailored itinerary to meet your interests. All of their travel is both adventurous and sustainable, meaning while you have a good time, you’re also helping out the local community.

There are nine different travel “styles” offered by G Adventures that travelers can choose from when browsing destinations. These nine styles include Marine, Local Living, Private Groups, Rail, Family, Yolo, Active, Comfort and Classic. Most of the styles are self-explanatory. Marine is heavily boat-centric, Classic ensures you see all the top tourist attractions and Yolo is only open to the under-40 crowd and is fast-paced and adventure-driven.

G Adventures offer destinations on every continent. Want to camp on the shores of Antarctica? Sure thing. Sailing around Thailand sound like your speed? You can do that too. Does traveling by rail from London to Budapest, with stops in Switzerland, Munich, Austria and more sound like your dream vacation? G Adventures can make it happen. Any of their tours you see on their site, you can even handpick for your own small group’s getaway.

An average of about 10 people are on each non-private trip and your fellow travelers come from all different backgrounds and places. G Adventures recommends their small group travel option over solo travel or large group travel for many of the same reasons universities tout small class sizes — more time and attention so that you, the traveler, can get to know your destination and fellow travelers in a life-changing way.
