Celebrating at the theme parks where age doesn’t exist is about to get a bit pricier. As of mid-February, Disney parks in both Florida and California increased admission fees for all three tiers of their pricing model. With inflation comes the inevitable price hike for any business, but Disney’s increases of nearly 9 percent for some of its various levels of ticketing may be a shock to families’ wallets.
At Disneyworld in Orlando, Fla., admission fees to the Magic Kingdom now start at $109 for adults and $103 for children for the low-demand-day ticket. The second tier of regular-demand-priced tickets rose $4 to $119 for adults and $113 for children. The price for the highest tier — peak-demand days — increased by $5 and now costs $129 for adults and $123 for kids. Elsewhere in Florida, admission fees to the Animal Kingdom, Epcot and Hollywood Studios rose by $3 for the low- and peak-demand pricing, and by $7 for regular-day pricing.
Across the country at Disneyland, the one-day adult ticket price remains the same ($97) for low-demand days, while the price for regular-demand days and peak-demand days are now $117 and $135, respectively. These prices also apply to California Adventure Park admission.
