Fans of Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story trilogy of films will soon have a place to play in the world of Buzz, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the toys. This summer, Walt Disney World in Florida will open a themed area called Toy Story Land where kids of all ages will be able to visit the movie’s backyard environment and greet some of Andy’s most beloved toys.
Toy Story Land will comprise 11 acres of Disney’s Hollywood Studios and will provide a new, separate entrance to the already-existing attraction called Toy Story Mania! In Toy Story Land, visitors can ride the Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster and the Alien Swirling Saucers while trying to avoid the infamous “claw.” Guests can dine at Woody’s Lunchbox restaurant, a walk-up counter eatery that will sell take-away meals and soda floats.
Adjacent to Toy Story Land is the carnival-themed Toy Story Mania! experience, which has welcomed families and fans since 2008. This section of the park will also see an expansion with a capacity for more guests, and more opportunities to take part in the plethora of games.
Toy Story Land’s official opening date is June 30, just in time for the summer tourism season.
