Aruba, The One Happy Island, is known for its award-winning beaches, but most travelers don’t know its tap water is actually delicious. The water is from the Caribbean Sea and goes through an extensive water treatment process. Recently, Aruba Tourism Authority unveiled a splashy new name for the water, Paradise on Tap. The water is so good it received a stamp of approval from leading Water Sommelier Martin Riese.
Paradise on Tap aims to raise awareness for the Aruba Promise, as well as encourage travelers to choose tap water instead of bottled while visiting to help keep Aruba One Happy Island for generation after generation.
Highlights of Paradise on Tap include:
- Encouraging travelers to ditch plastic water bottles on the island; before stepping on the islands, guests are invited to take the Aruba Promise pledge, a commitment to being an eco-conscious visitor
- Teaming up with Certified Water Sommelier Martin Riese to showcase Paradise on Tap, featuring limited-time, bespoke travel experiences
- Educating travelers on the process water goes through at the local desalination plant
- Experiencing Paradise on Tap with limited-time bookable packages at Bucuti & Tara Beach Resort and Boardwalk Boutique Hotel
