Google Unveils Google Destinations

After years of saving and accruing vacation days, it´s time to take that long-awaited holiday. If the destination is questionable, Google is prepared to step in to help in the selection of your next big trip. Among the myriad search engines for flights, lodging and other travel planning needs, Google hopped on board to make it easier for travelers to make travel-based decisions.

Google Destinations allows potential travelers to search for destination suggestions and help them plan their getaways. By typing a country name followed by the word ¨destination¨ in the Google search bar, Google will provide a list of possible cities to visit, which then can be filtered by interest such as art, nature or shopping.

Google compiles its travel information from resources like Frommer´s and offers browsers the opportunity to explore destinations and begin planning a trip. The trip-planning feature draws from real-time data to produce the internet´s best prices for flights, hotels and other travel-related expenses and services. Prices are arranged into an interactive sliding graph for easy use.

When the destination, flight and price are all aligned to the traveler´s liking, simply click to book all services at once. The actual booking process will take place on the individual provider´s website as Google maintains it will not become a virtual travel agency.
