Curious how your NFL team is going to stack up by the end of summer? You’re in luck, since most NFL training camps are open to the public (sorry, Oakland), plus they’re free!

Going to one might not be interesting for the casual fan, but diehard football fanatics will enjoy the glimpse behind the scenes. Teams use the summer weeks to cut down from 90 players to a 53-person squad. It’s a cold and physically brutal process, often decided before camp even starts since most coaches already know whom they want to keep.

Not all the practices are open, so check your team’s website to pick a date and reserve a spot. The only things you’ll have to pay for are parking and maybe food. Football junkies can also look into fan experiences at the NFL Combine, where college-level players are invited to showcase their skills before entering the draft.
