Tips / Travel

There are numerous reasons to be cranky on an airplane, but being uncomfortable in your clothing doesn’t have to be one of them. Here are a few tips for the frequent flyer on how to keep comfy while in the air.

Dress Warmly

Airplanes tend to get a little chilly when they’re flying 30,000 feet in the air, so it’s important to dress for the occasion. Bundle up with a nice sweater or at least keep one on hand, especially if your neighbor likes to blast the air.

Avoid Business Attire

While it might seem smart to dress for a meeting before boarding a plane, the truth is those slick suits and dresses aren’t comfortable to sit in for hours on end. Instead, change in the bathroom about an hour before landing or wait until you get to your destination.

Wear Slippers

Nobody wants to smell your feet while stuck in a confined cabin, so always cover your feet. Slippers provide a comfier alternative to shoes and will allow you to stretch your toes more easily.

No Jeans

Jeans aren’t meant to be sat in for hours, so switch them out for a pair of sweatpants whenever possible. Even shorts are preferable if you’re not bothered by the cold.
