October is LGBT History Month, so it is no surprise there are many pride events around the country this month. Although for the ultimate pride festival, there’s one city that really knows how to celebrate.
The Las Vegas PRIDE festival kicks off with a night parade Friday, Oct. 21, from 7–10 p.m., beginning on West Charleston Boulevard and continuing to Ogden Avenue. There is also a concert after the parade by Charli XCX, with tickets available here.
The festival itself will be held at Suset Park from Oct. 22–23, and invites everyone to celebrate all weekend long. All festivities are open to the public, and begin at noon on both Saturday and Sunday with performances planned for the duration of the weekend.
The Las Vegas PRIDE Festival is family friendly, so there are enforced clothing restrictions you can peruse here to make sure your clothing or costume is appropriate. This year, they have also joined forces with Las Vegas PRIDE Pets, so you can feel free to bring your furry friends along.
Coolers are not allowed, but there will be bartenders available to serve a variety of refreshments including beer, wine and mixed drinks for those over the age of 21.
The Las Vegas PRIDE Festival is the perfect place for LGBT families, friends and allies to come together and have a blast.
