Traveling with a poor sense of direction can lead to disastrous results. You end up down scary back roads or miles off path and end up wasting an entire day.
But what if you when you got lost you could simply rely on your feet to tell you where to go? Well, now you can.
Lechal designed a pair of shoes that will let you know when you’re heading the wrong way. The Haptic GPS Shoes are integrated with GPS technology allowing them to vibrate when its time for you to make a turn.
The shoes work by using Bluetooth technology to sync with Google Maps. Just plug in your destination beforehand and your shoes will guide you where you need to go. It totally eliminates the need for staring down at your iPhone so you can focus on the sights around you.
When you’re walking along and feel your right shoe begin to buzz, that means it’s time to make a right turn. The same goes for the left shoe. Not only do these things guide you, but they can also be set up to notify you when you’re about to leave your phone behind. Some designs also have fitness technology that tracks your heartbeat and steps.
The shoes are sleek in design and comfortable and not bulky as you might imagine. We’re not sure about you, but we think these things are pretty darn nifty.
